‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 6, episode 4 review: Yolanda Foster, Lisa Rinna, and surprises
This season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has had some issues, with the main one being the lack of drama, or at least more interesting storylines. Last week we had the story of Lisa Vanderpump looking to buy the second smallest horse in the world for Ken’s 70th birthday party which was a fun adventure, but there’s a fire missing from this season.
Yes, tonight’s episode did give you much more story when it comes to the horses, and in many ways it was probably more than we either wanted or needed. Ken got two little horse’s for his 70th birthday and while they were pretty cute, he knows they are going to be a lot of work.
The real main events of this episode, in one way or another, were very based around Yolanda Foster. First and foremost, she admitted in the episode that her Lyme disease diagnosis was starting to take a toll on her relationship with David. Seeing her talk about how her illness has impacted almost the entirety of her marriage was pretty sad to hear, especially watching it knowing that outside of the show these two have ended their marriage.
There is a certain Vicki Gunvalson – Brooks Ayers story on the “Real Housewives of Orange County” show: Someone out there is suspicious of Yolanda’s illness. Specifically, we’re looking this time at Lisa Rinna, who suspected that she may have Munchausen Syndrome, a mental disorder where someone acts as though they have developed a serious illness when in fact they have not. We sincerely doubt this is happening and believe that Yolanda is acutally sick; even Lisa Vanderpump is staying far away from this.
In the end, this episode had some entertaining moments, but everything with Yolanda is so sad right now and no amount of Vander-ponies is going to make that better. The same goes at this point for Kim Richards, who has been through so much that at this point, it’s not always easy to watch her stories since she has gone through so much. Also, we were hoping the new housewife, Erika Girardi was going bring a lot more excitement to the show then just pushing her album and persona of “Erika Jayne” every second she’s on screen. Episode grade: C+.
