‘Shark Tank’ revisited: LOLIWARE, O’Dang Hummus, Mikki Bey, Splikity, Red Dress Boutique

Shark Tank -While it may not be airing at a normal time tonight, “Shark Tank” is repeating an episode from earlier this season Tuesday night. Not only that, but it’s one that may have one of the more notable companies so far this season in LOLIWARE. who doesn’t love cups that you can also eat? If nothing else, the idea of the product is so random that it is truly worthy of discussion.

As with all of these revisited articles, the goal here is mostly to look at some of the products to see how much has changed since the original airing, and also whether or not they are taking advantage of the additional publicity being brought to them now. There’s also an update in here on Red Dress Boutique, one of the most successful clothing brands to appear on the show.

O’Dang Hummus – Grocery products are tough, but at least O’Dang has a calling card as a salad dressing / condiment alternative that is all-natural, low-calorie, and also is dairy-free and oil-free. Since the show it has expanded its reach across Florida grocery chains, and while it has not gone national just yet, you can order it online. There is even a special for “Shark Tank” innovation.

Splikity – The app promoted security, but at the time of the show did not really show that they had the technology background to be viewed as worthy of an investment. While we cannot measure their success in many ways since the show, we’ll at least commend them on establishing a stronger web presence and explaining further precisely what it is that their service does, and why it could be useful for some out there who have trouble remembering passwords.

Mikki Bey Eyelash Extensions – Like Splikity, Mikki Bey left without a deal, but she has used her time since the show to beef up her website and make it cleaner, smarter, and easier to explore. Eyelash extensions are still so far from our personal interest level that it’s hard to really get excited about them, but we think Mikki can leverage this platform even still to make a great career for herself. We’re not sure it’ll expand beyond the Los Angeles area, but it doesn’t really need to for her to make money.

LOLIWARE – We loved the product when it was first introduced on the show, since it basically was a cool innovation to beverage-drinking that also served a function: Preventing there from being as much trash after a party. They’re still selling multiple flavors and are giving away free shipping tonight for the repeat airing; however, we’re surprised that with a product catered to a younger crowd, they are not using social media more than they are.
