‘Girl Meets World’ season 2 spoilers: First photo from ‘Girl Meets STEM’

For all fans of “Girl Meets World,” the wait until the show returns on Friday, January 8 is still a long one. The fact that both Christmas and New Year’s Day both fall on a Friday this year does not help whatsoever when it comes to how long the show is off the air.

Luckily, we at least have for you above one of the first photos from the upcoming “Girl Meets STEM,” and it definitely hints at some sort of unusual experiment taking place. If you haven’t seen the episode description yet, the one below offers up some details:

“Riley is upset when the boys at school won’t let her participate in a science experiment and attempts to become more involved.”

Given that we have four women in the photo above all wearing goggles, does Riley attempt to create some sort of counter-experiment, and do we have a lab rat in the form of another student? Also, is it a complete disaster? Some of the facial expressions certainly suggest that there is a problem.

In the end, we hope that this will be as a whole a really fun story that gives you a few good moments, and some sort of lesson encouraging young women to be involved in science, technology, engineering, and math. Given that this was filmed before “Girl Meets Texas,” don’t expect any major revelations. (We really hope the Disney Channel considers airing some of these episodes in order moving forward.)
