‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7, episode 11 video: A new case for Deeks and Kensi

The end of this past episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” proved to be one of the biggest ones that we’ve seen on the show in some time. After spending most of the past two weeks thinking that we were being set up to a reveal where Deeks was found to be innocent to murdering his former partner, it turned out that he actually did do it! The twist? He was trying to protect someone else in the process, and ensure that he could do what he considered to be the right thing in that moment. There are tremendous moral gray areas with this show sometimes, and this is one of them.

One of the biggest issues when it comes to Deeks moving forward is the sole fact that Kensi is in the dark about what he did, and you can see that weighing on him in the sneak peek below. She seems happy and even goofier than we’re used to seeing her, but he seems almost distant and out-of-it.

Does this mean that some major trouble in paradise is on the way for the two? Not necessarily, but we do take this as a warning sign that Deeks has to figure out a way to get the truth out there sooner rather than later. The longer this weighs on him, especially with Hetty already in the know, the more it could be a problem down the line.
