‘Blue Bloods’ season 6, episode 11 preview: When will Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg return to CBS?
Aside from it not being much of a holiday-themed episode, the only thing that bummed us out about Friday night’s “Blue Bloods” is that there are no other episodes airing in the month of February. The show is going on a hiatus that’ll last a few weeks; specifically, you’re not going to see it back in action until Friday, January 8.
So what sort of stories could await us then? With this sort of show, there really is a clean slate full of possibilities. After all, just remember for a minute here that this is not a serialized show, and the majority of the stories in Friday night’s episode, save for Danny’s to a certain extent, were tied up. Even with Danny, there is not too much that we can see the series touching back on immediately. Hopefully there’ll be a synopsis or at least something else released in the coming week, that way we have something more to hold onto entering the holidays.
In the end, we can at least look at the series at the halfway point of the season and feel at least reasonably good about things. Its quality is as strong as ever, and we do think that there is a good shot of it coming back for a season 7. We recently wrote an article on the show’s commercial appeal, and it would be strange for CBS to knock out a show that continues to draw so many viewers, even if the demo is a little bit thin.
