Is ‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 26 new tonight on the Disney Channel?

After spending several weeks off the air, “Girl Meets World” brought its fans a temporary reprieve in the form of the episode “Girl Meets the New Year.” Now, you have to be prepared for waiting once more.

As you would’ve guessed given that last week’s episode was in fact holiday-themed, there is no installment airing on the Disney Channel Friday. There will not be another installment, in fact, until the show comes back with “Girl Meets STEM” on January 8. This is a story that will feature Riley trying to get more involved in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, otherwise known as a combination of subjects that are being pushed hard in school right now by many groups for good reason. There is always a need to have more people in these career paths.

Following this episode, there are no confirmed air dates for the remainder of the season, but we figure that season 2 will probably finish airing by some point in February or March, especially if the Disney Channel wants to prepare the third season for a premiere in either May or June. There’s a little bit of a hiatus in there, and that will give the show a chance to film some new episodes. These said installments are already being written, and we just have to wait until we get around to the next phase of production.

While this still may be a somewhat lengthy hiatus for the show, have no fear: We’ll be around with more updates every step of the way!
