‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Caila Quinn bring fun to Ben Higgins’ season?

Caila -There are some people for “The Bachelor” you can tell will probably be characters from the moment you see them. Caila Quinn is one of them. She has a unique background, and to go along with that she loves “Game of Thrones,” has traveled the world, and has a job that suggests that she’s not just here for fame.

Also, go look at her ABC bio — there’s a lot on there. Contestants fill them out themselves, and these are typically a great barometer for how serious someone is about finding love.

Age – 24

Occupation – Software sales representative.

Hometown – Hudson, Ohio. It’s a small town relatively close to Akron and Cleveland.

Things to know – She comes from German, Irish, Swiss, and Filipino heritage, and she also studied abroad in Germany for many years. Ultimately, she’s well-traveled, and someone who seems to enjoy a variety of cultures.

Strengths – There’s not much about her online other than her official bio, but she feels like someone who would have a good sense of humor about the show, while still taking it seriously at the same time. She would not get too bogged down by the drama, and not be someone really starting it, either. She feels like someone who genuinely was cast out of an interest in Ben rather than being famous.

Problem areas – She claims that she doesn’t like romantic dates / moments that are so cheesy that she seems “fake.” Um, haven’t you seen what this show does? If she’s got a problem with obnoxious romance, she could have a problem handling every time Ben “plans” a date for somebody.

Prediction – We luckily think that Caila is smart enough to know the difference between a fake cheesy date and a real one, so she should be fine navigating most of this competition. Right now we’d put her as one of the potential contenders, mostly because we could see Ben sharing many interests with her, and she has an outgoing personality that makes us think she could handle the mansion.
