ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: Rick’s LokSat involvement (or lack thereof)
The best thing about the “Castle” season 8 finale for fans is after a long period of time waiting, Rick and Kate finally have their relationship back on track! Since nothing is ever that easy on the show, though, there are some conditions placed upon it … with the biggest one being that they are doing what they can right now to keep everyone under wraps. There is a fear that them being together publicly could spell trouble, especially in the LokSat investigation.
With that in mind, co-showrunner Alexi Hawley tells TVLine that “the idea is that he’s not actively involved … He is in the know and [Beckett] isn’t keeping anything from him, but there is nothing actionable yet for her to get him involved” when the show returns in February. Is that going to change over time? Probably, since the idea of the two of them working apart on big cases is a rather depressing thought.
Of course, the question for the time being is just how some stories could come up where Kate needs a little bit of Rick’s help. Let’s just look at this at face value. Nathan Fillion’s character has a real knack for thinking outside the box, and while he may not be particularly great when it comes to giving her advice on serious police matters, he could help her and Vikram get out of potential dead ends. Also, the man’s got an incredible list of contacts. If they ever need a favor, he may be able to find them someone to help.

I want to know why
1) Alexis isn’t in school.
2) Beckett and Castle seem to have lost their edge – the old Caskett would have asked more questions, wouldn’t have rushed to this separation or trusting Vikram
3) Since the fans hate this, why aren’t the show runners doing anything about it while they still have an audience?

Not being one to listen to rumors of discord between the major actors the writers seem to be going to extraordinary lengths keeping them apart for this season. Makes me wonder what exactly was worked out in those contracts to get them back for S 8 . Now I read that RC, Alexis and Hayley are going to LA for a case, makes me wonder along with the rumored season finale.

I hope they don’t drag this out all season long .They better connect Rick’s disappearance and Loksat together pretty quickly .Listening to the show runners interviews they are sure how they are going to do that. Fans get ready for another rough patch in story telling since it appears these guys are flying by the seat of their their pants.

Charles, I read that the Castle disappearance is supposed to rear its ugly head again in episode 13, 14 or 15 (undetermined as to exact episode when I read the article). Unfortunately, the episode(s) are supposed to connect somehow with LokSat and also bring up some information about Beckett rumored to have come up or found out by Castle during his disappearance and supposedly the reason Castle got his memory erased. Look like LokSat will not be finished until the end of the season and either solved or left as a cliffhanger if there is to be a season 9.

Buddy ,unfortunately I figured as much was just hoping because keeping them separated and fighting in public is going to be forced .It will be as unrealistic ad the original story line .I guess the show runners really don’t know what they are trying to do .

If they know what they are doing they are managing to keep it well hidden. Having a few shake ups during a season is one thing but having one just about every other episode is getting very tiring and boring in the repetion.

Buddy so true ,I will watch the First few episodes when they come back just to see what they do. Then I will start DVRing the shows so I can fast forward thru the bad spots which seem to be more and more frequent.

Charles, I have been talking badly about the new show runners all this season. I am now considering stopping because it speaks badly enough all by itself.
With regard to this being the last season, I read that Stana Katic wanted to quit the series while it was on a high note. Looks like she missed her chance and that might be why Stana and Nathan are talking about this being the last season.

Buddy, yes I must agree I have done the same. Yes Stana has stated that, though it is still possible to go out on a high note .Castle has been thru this is it coming back or not before so we shall see if it still hangs in there.

Nathan and Stana and cast are unfortunately the actors working with inept showrunners. Their job is to portray a story these two clowns come up with. I am afraid this is the end. The show is a train wreck.

Buddy ,I am also reading or getting hints from Stana/Nathan that this is the last season of Castle. I just hope the writers end on a high note ,but the way they are going I see it ending badly.

Buddy I have seen in another interview with Hawley they are going to have Castle disappear again in the 3rd part of the season and have it all tie back in to Loksat and when he originally disappeared. Oh boy how lame and bad can you get .If that happens will not even DVR it.

It think what they mean is the show Castle will disappear. So sad. I liked this show until the clowns showed up and ran it into the ground!

That was a stupid thread anyways, how does a person disappear for 2 months and how does a person’s memory get wiped.? Loksat. Any bad guy would have figured out how to nuke Castle & Beckett by now. What is this Vikram and Harley characters supposed to be doing? I do not like Vikram and Harley is annoying.

With the way the show is headed it wouldn’t matter anyways. I doubt there will be many fans left for the show to carry on.. End of February???????
