‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Amanda Stanton bring a beachy vibe to Ben Higgins’ season?

Amanda Stanton -

Today, our “Bachelor” spotlight series is officially underway! Every day for the rest of the month (and even in early January) we are going to spotlight at least one if not at times two contestants a day. We’ll tell you what makes them interesting, what could make them appealing to Ben Higgins, and also what could get them in trouble. We’ll also give you a blanket prediction, as we don’t know any spoilers and don’t really care to.

We’re going to begin today with Amanda Stanton, someone who we imagine will get at least a little bit of screen time over the course of the season.

Age – 25

Occupation -Esthetician. Also known as a beautician, this is a fairly common job on reality TV these days.

Hometown – Rancho Santa Margarita, California. It’s in Orange County, not too far from Lake Forest and Irvine. Beautiful area.

Things to know – While Rancho Santa Margarita isn’t exactly on the beach, it’s close to it and Amanda loves the beach. She mentions it many times in her bio, and like someone else in Becca Tilley, we’re not sure we can imagine her anywhere away from it if Ben doesn’t want to move. Also, she has two children, and that is something that will probably be brought up and considered as Ben keeps this journey going.

Strengths – She certainly seems outgoing, optimistic, and has the life experience to not just be someone here to goof off and not take the competition seriously. She’ll be able to connect and have serious conversations with Ben faster than everyone else, and she’ll probably be a little more conservative, thanks to her being cognizant of having children at home.

Problem areas – She will have to make an impact early, since with most single parents on this show there’s a sentiment that if someone isn’t feeling an instant connection, they will send you home out of guilt of keeping you away from your kids. Nothing else stands out superficially.

Prediction – It’s hard to envision her leaving early. Amanda feels more like the contestant who will make the top eight or nine and be sent home after that. We think that Ben would be open to being in a relationship with someone who has children, so it may be something else that causes her to be sent home at this point.
