‘Quantico’ episode 10 review: Who designed the plan for Grand Central?
For much of the past several weeks, Simon rose to the top of the list of contenders for the bomber on “Quantico.” On Sunday night’s new episode, he finally told it all … and that included admitting to being the person behind the attack of Grand Central.
However, it was not exactly what you first thought. The news is true that Simon did design some of the plans for the bombing, but his intention was to never actually see it go through. He intentionally drew up some flaws mostly as a means to ensure that the plan would not be executed, and for a time, that ended up working. Unfortunately, the words “for a time” are the definite keywords here, since someone took those plans and then ran with him.
As for what happened to Simon as a result of all of this, he went to take care of some of his personal affairs, while at Quantico he was placed under grounds for dismissal over what he did to Ryan weeks ago. Notice: If you’re going to get physical with someone, it probably should not be with the person who is actually an agent working undercover. That never ends up being a good move. There is no turning back for Simon, but there’s also no turning back for any of the once-NATs. They all realized that after Alex potentially saves the day in uncovering the truth, she’ll be the hero while the future for all of them is up in the air. If they’re lucky, they will get a chance to keep working.
We don’t want to spend much time talking about Ryan / Alex or all of that drama with Caleb and Shelby over her sleeping with his dead … for obvious reasons such as “romance on this show is not fun.” Instead, let’s talk about the ending, which was easily the best part of the hour. Was that Elias making the attack? It sure looked like it. We’re not calling him the bomber just yet, but he’s moving to the top of the ranks! Grade: B.
