‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 12 preview: Return date for Jennifer Morrison, cast
Tonight, “Once Upon a Time” took you to unusual places in its midseason finale, and it also managed to set the stage rather brilliantly for some truly shocking events to come. We’re moving forward a new chapter of the show with returning villains, new threats, and a different take on classic mythology.
Now comes the bad news: Just like with the past couple of years, you will be waiting a while to see it. “Souls of the Departed” will air on Sunday, March 6, and you can expect to see such people as Robbie Kay (Peter Pan), Barbara Hershey (Cora), and Giancarlo Esposito (Sidney Glass) for the first time in a long time. Given that two out of three characters we mentioned are dead, we should make it clear that the only reason this is happening is because of the Underworld.
If you needed another reason to be excited for this episode (or reasons), here you go:
1. The installment is being written by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, the two showrunners who are responsible for the entire series, let alone some of its best episodes.
2. It is the 100th episode of the series. With any show, this calls for a great celebration! In this case we’re sure that there are going to be many surprises that are not even going to show up in advance … and it would be a waste of time and disservice to the show to speculate about them too much here.
