‘Scream Queens’ finale: Could show move into Summer Camp for season 2?
On Fox Tuesday night “Scream Queens” will be coming to a close, and with it ending what we would say is a pretty interesting run. The show has developed a loyal following thanks to its shocking twists and its wry sense of humor, though at the same time the fan adoration for the show has not been as apparent in the ratings. Therefore, there’s not even much of a guarantee of a second season as we start to move forward to the finale.
What we do know is that for now, summer camp is rolling around out there as a theory. Oliver Hudson said recently on “Watch What Happens Live!” that this could be a potential theme for a second season of the show, and as Keke Palmer tells HollywoodLife, this is certainly an idea she would be open to exploring on the show:
“I loved the idea of the Summer Camp. I love that because it reminds me of Jason [from Friday the 13th], it reminds me of horror movies that I grew up watching and loving. I just love how Ryan taps into that stuff – that nostalgic stuff, and then flips it on its head; so, I’m excited to see what he’ll do with it. It’ll be fun for me in general because it’s like living a horror movie but in a funny way.”
If there is another season for the show, we know that we’d love the idea of going to camp. It’s a chance for the series to flex some different muscles, but at the same time, how would it work given that these people are college students? Maybe they all work as counselors, but you’ve have to bring a ton of children in for it to work.
