‘Shark Tank’ review: Glow Recipe, Leaux Trikes, Trunkster, Sarah Oliver Handbags

Shark Tank -Tonight’s “Shark Tank” is bringing your products that are about travel, traveling, beauty products, and a bag to carry the products. There are some fun ideas in here, but we’re not sure that we’d be a customer of many of them. There’s one, however, that does catch our eye to a great degree.

You can click on any of the links below to be taken to an official website; as always, we will be updating this as the night goes on!

Leaux Racing Trikes – These do look cool, and the Kickstarter investor does prove that there is at least some sort of proof of concept. Here’s the issue: The idea of this guy personally testing every one of them himself is completely impossible, and that was a warning flag. Another was him not really seeming to get Robert Herjavec’s concern that there’s no perfect market for it out there. We do think this would be fun to ride around Venice Beach or somewhere like that, but that’s it. No deal.

Glow Recipe – This beauty company looks to find a new way to shine. They are actually more of a distributor of really fantastic Korean beauty products that don’t get a little bit of attention in the United States. We like their business, mostly because of the fact that they can always be at the forefront of trends. It’s a bet on the people more so than the company, and they seem determined. We’re really surprised that it was Robert Herjavec who got the deal, but he should be good for the brand. He has the tech knowledge, and certainly knows the global market.

Sarah Oliver Handbags – Is the product as good as the story? We were somewhat skeptical, but at the same time we see a potential winner here in many ways. She’s selling what appear to be quality handbags, and if her Purlettes +1 (her senior citizen knitters) enjoy having some work and getting something to do, who’s to say that this is a bad idea? It was good enough to get Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, and Kevin O’Leary all on board for this together.

Trunkster – Now, this is the product that intrigues us. It’s a really sleek, innovative, and cool twist on the luggage brand that offers so many different ways for people to travel. We love that it tells you the wait, that it opens without a zipper, and that it can actually charge your phone. The downside? The investment was pretty insane, but these guys came up with a brilliant counter to Lori and Mark Cuban. They made an agreement with them that if their initial goals are not met, they will give them both a royalty and an additional stake in the company.
