‘UnREAL’ season 2 spoilers: It will still be ‘Everlasting’ in some sense

The second season of “UnREAL” is still a long ways away from premiering on Lifetime, but when the show does come back there is one thing that you should know: There will be more of “Everlasting.” The show within the show featured none other than British heir Adam Cromwell in its first season, his relationship with Rachel caused a wide array of dominoes to fall. Yet season 1 concluded with Quinn and Rachel together, looking at the ruins of a crazy reality TV experiment and wondering where they go moving forward.

So how much does one of the stars in Constance Zimmer know at the moment? Here’s what she had to say on the subject in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“It will still be under the Everlasting title … So whatever reality show that is, it just still has to adhere to Everlasting, just because we’re still new and we don’t want to completely rock the boat with people coming to us for the first time. But it’s a whole new cast of characters, which already makes it a completely different show no matter what it is.”

In some ways, we appreciate the ambition and the bravery that the series has, opting to not just bring back many of the characters that did so well in the first season, even if their roles don’t make as much sense this time around. Of course, with that comes the risk that some of these characters don’t land, and people end up missing some of the people we’ve come to know and love already.

Ultimately, we’ll find out just what sort of experience we’re in for when season 2 premieres in the summer.
