NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Korin Buskowksi reflects on time in competition

VoiceWe started taking a look at eliminated contestants on “The Voice” last week with Evan McKeel, and today we figured that we’d continue that tradition a little bit by discussing the latest contestant eliminated in Korin Bukowski. The singer was eliminated on Tuesday night over Braiden Sunshine, and it proved itself to be one of the more interesting clashes that we’ve had a chance to see so far this season. You had someone on one side who’d managed to stick around with the #VoiceSave twice, and then also someone who has a huge following online, but isn’t generating iTunes sales on the level that some other people in the competition are.

So why did Korin (see her farewell message below) get eliminated over some of her other contenders? Here are a few potential reasons.

1. Her performances weren’t connecting enough with viewers – We’re speaking in terms of iTunes sales and fan votes, and not based on our own opinions here.

2. Her coach – Gwen Stefani seems have to done a great job working with her contestants, but the reality is that unless you are working with Adam Levine or Blake Shelton, your odds are automatically lower. One of these two guys has won “The Voice” 75% of the time the show has been on the air.

3. Placement on the show – The more favorite spots have gone to people like Jordan Smith, Barrett Baber, and Jeffery Austin. You always want to be the person closing the show, since that allows you to be the last person that we people remember.

4. Braiden’s fans – Hey, the kid’s got himself some sort of social-media army.
