ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 10 spoilers: Could the story for Lazarus One continue?

The bad news for all fans of “Scandal” once again tonight is that unfortunately, there is no new episode of the show airing on ABC tonight. The series will return with new episodes next year, and until that time we are left to speculate on everything from Olivia getting some of her old life back to what Mellie does now that her filibuster over Planned Parenthood has generated so much more support.

So what about the story with Huck, Jake, Rowan, and Lazarus One? The events of the midseason finale led to the death of Russell, but as you have probably learned about this show many times over by now, nothing is ever really over. This is something that Huck himself in Guillermo Diaz commented on as a part of a new interview with TV Guide:

“I don’t think it’s ever really going to end … There’s always going to be that dark force that is present on the show. Russell’s gone, but I think there are many others still alive and kicking. What was Tom up to? I don’t think it’s truly going to be dead and done. And now Jake and Rowan are back together. They’ll look more into it, I’m sure. We don’t really know what it is yet. This is something that’s probably going to rear its head again.”

Now, do we want it to end? We’re not sure about that, but we do want a story for some of these characters that is a little more coherent. B613 and Lazarus One have dragged out in their own way for some time, and it’d be nice to see the story move in a different direction.
