Is ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 10 new tonight on ABC?

Tonight is Thanksgiving, and for the most part that means that there is very little in the way of new programming coming on the air. That includes “Scandal” over on ABC, which is not going to be on the air for quite a long time. Specifically, we’re looking at February 11 as to when the show is going to return.

It is definitely safe to say that fans of the show are going to have more than a little bit to discuss in the time between now and when the show ultimately comes on the air again. For one, there is the much-discussed abortion that Olivia Pope had following her brief stint in the White House, and the things that have been unsaid between her and Fitz ever since that moment. All Fitz knows for now is that the relationship between the two of them has fallen apart.

Hopefully by the time we get around to this episode airing, we are going to know more about what Olivia wants out of her life now, and if she can find some sort of way to establish new equilibrium. We don’t imagine that her and Fitz are suddenly going to stop communicating, and she is very much in White House circles.

One another thing to think about here is what is going to happen now with Mellie. After her filibuster over Planned Parenthood, she may be now considered a hero to many out there. How will the show and the cast react to her newfound celebrity status? That will be one of many interesting things to see.
