‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 spoilers: Aubrey Plaza set to challenge Reid
For those of you who still miss “Parks and Recreation” (trust us when we say that we’re right there with you), we come bearing some good news: There’s at least another nice gig coming up for Aubrey Plaza on TV!
According to a report from TVLine, Plaza (who has also voiced a certain A.I. for Rick on “Castle” this season) is going to be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of “Criminal Minds” season 11 as Cat Adams, a woman who turns out to be a not-so-perfect date for Reid (Matthew Grey Gubler) when she takes out a gun on him. From there, she challenges his wits, knowing that he is with the FBI, and sees if he can rescue both himself and everyone else in the restaurant. This sounds like a meaty role for Plaza, especially given the fact that the majority of her roles have been cynical but ultimately good-hearted. Also, it’s not often that you see a “Criminal Minds” character isolated in a singular location.
You can see a first-look photo of Plaza, per the aforementioned website, at the bottom of this article.
Plaza will be making her appearance on January 13 (the winter premiere), which we assume is nothing more than a one-off. After all, the vast majority of the cases on this show unrelated to the Dirty Dozen are. For those wondering, there are still two other new episodes coming up this year: “Internal Affairs” airing on CBS Wednesday, and then “Future Perfect” the week after.
