Macy’s Parade 2015: Andy Grammer, Sofia Carson, Shawn Mendes appear

NBCThe Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has become an annual tradition, not just for NBC, and for us personally. There is little better than having some great food, kicking back, and watching a little bit of holiday cheer.

This year, the parade has a roster of some familiar faces, whether it be Trey Songz, Sofia Carson, Andy Grammer (fresh off of “Dancing with the Stars”), the Rockettes, or Shawn Mendes. There’s of course also a wide array of floats, marching bands, and Santa Claus at the very end. The parade is roughly the same every year with a few new additions / people joining in on some of the fun.

Of course, you may have heard some of the headlines that Justin Bieber was originally set to appear during the show, as well, but decided to eventually cancel for personal reasons. While he was a big celebrity draw, we don’t think that his absence is hurting the parade in any shape or form. So far during the parade as of this writing, our personal highlights include seeing Ninja Turtles people dancing ridiculously, and watching Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker try to add a little bit of flair to what they are talking about. It’s not always easy!

Following the Parade, we’re of course going to have further coverage of the National Dog Show, which helps to further continue what is to us a wonderful tradition. Be on the lookout for it! We won’t be in a turkey coma yet by that time.

Update: For those wondering, Dove Cameron was promoted to be appearing, but she was not on the broadcast. We’re waiting for confirmation regarding what happened there.

Update 2: Cameron missed the show due to illness. You can read more here.
