ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: Enter the world of competitive singing!
We’ve spent so much time talking about “Castle” lately through the lens of all of the conflict in the Castle – Beckett relationship, and as a result of that there is probably one other aspect of the show that has really not received its proper due around these parts: The crazy cases! Granted, we have not seen to many wacky ones so far in season 8, but that will change at some point after the show comes back on the air February 1.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Alexi Hawley makes it clear that one upcoming case will feature the world of competitive singing in some way, and any chance that we have to get us at least reasonably close to a musical episode is something that we will celebrate:
“We have a very fun episode when we come back in a sort of Pitch Perfect kind of world where we get to see one of our characters do a little singing in an unexpected forum. It’s a really fun episode when we get back. Fans will be sad about the two months off, but we have some delightful stuff when we come back.”
Now that our two leads are back together, even if they are keeping it private for now, this is something that we hope the show does go back to in a huge way in the coming weeks. Humor has always been a nice addition to the show, and it is what makes this story stand out more from so many others in the genre to go alongside its cast.

Love castle and Becket are together again.i am a true fan willing to give writers a chance to restore their relationship. Like all good books , you need to reserve judgement until final page. I will stay with show. Hopefully ABC will too.

The new shiw runners completelymisunderstand that the humor only works between KB and RC works together, so as the ‘brain sharing’.
As of Mr. Vikram, he can be a road-block between KB and RC by keeping trying separate them for his own benefit, but ‘sharing brain’ between KB and him turns viewers down – completely unnecessay and tasteless.
I also think RC!s ‘money pit’ PI businese definately needs Hayley to turn into a real business, as long as she can kick him out of that office (like she did in Monday’s ep.), and let RC goes back to be a police consultant, follwing KB and gangs around.

In my opinion this show doesn’t need Hayley or Vikram but especially him now he’s trying to run her life on top of being a real pain in the butt .Time to dump both of them and get back to just the original cast .

What would really be funny is if Vikram got hit by a passing beer truck.

Vikram is the direct connection to loksat, and all his efforts to keep Caskett apart are at the behest of that organization, why else would he destroy RC investigation into said organization, leaving KB without a secondary source.
Not that I like the character and how gullible KB is to his suggestions .

Leo, maybe that’s true but a viewer can always wish just hope they don’t keep him around the whole season and that solve Loksat and tie castles dissapearance relatively quickly into the second half of the season.

Would be nice but recent history (7,20)leads me to believe otherwise, That and the Caskett reconciliation was LAZY writing, RCs memory loss and Loksat will most likely follow suit, RC made it a point that KB has a definite problem but I doubt that will addressed again,

True Leo, I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens ,I know it was all lazy writing and it appears there may be more of that to come.Hopping not though!!!

The writers write according to the thread the showrunners tell them. It is the lame story runners that are clueless on how a story needs to be told. I don’t think the second half is going to be any different. Regrets, this is the end!
