‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 8 preview: Andrew Lincoln, ‘Start to Finish,’ and the midseason finale

twdFans of “The Walking Dead,” brace yourselves: Alexandria is not out of the woods just yet. There is one more episode of the show left later this fall, and in it we’ll get a chance to learn whether or not there can be temporary peace in the town … or if some minor character will die while the show tries to act like they are really making a big move. (We’re a little salty tonight; forgive us.)

“Start to Finish” is the title for the midseason finale, and in true fashion, the synopsis below does not give away much:

“After having a few moments of peace, trouble finds its way to Alexandria yet again. Only this time, the threat might be too big to defeat.”

Even if there aren’t any more walkers or other dangers coming to Alexandria in the finale, the town still has to deal with Rick. Based on what we saw during this episode, Andrew Lincoln’s character is almost as salty as we are at the moment.

Thankfully, at least AMC aired a full promo for the midseason finale after tonight’s episode, and it made it pretty clear that the threat here is actually something more serious than just grump Rick. You’ve got a huge swarm of walkers coming into the town, and given how unprepared many of these people are, we could see a massacre featuring many of these people who really have no idea how to deal with the terrors of this world.
