‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6 video: Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson talk farewell scene

On Tuesday night “Pretty Little Liars” is going to be airing something a little bit different: A special that is highlighting the past, and also looking forward to the future. This is ultimately a great opportunity for them to close the door on the chapter of the first arc of the show, while paving the way for the next season and a half.

In the new video below, you get what is for the most part a nice little reflection on one of the more emotional scenes of the first part of the season: The Liars all saying goodbye to one another as they prepare for the next phase of their lives. Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, and Troian Bellisario all try to put into motion what doing this particular scene meant to them, and we presume it was quite a bit when you consider what some of this signified. It marks a big transition in their lives as characters, but also actors in real life. They’ve been playing these teenagers for so long, and the next time you see them, they will be adults!

For those who are interested in more teases regarding the future, we hear that the special is also going to give you at least some new footage from season 6B (premiering in January on ABC Family / Freeform), and also some teases to go along with it about what these characters’ lives will be like.
