‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6: Specific reasons to watch ‘Five Years Forward’ special
“Pretty Little Liars” fans have grown accustomed to a certain degree getting at least one episode in the fall, but unfortunately, that is not taking place this year. Instead, the 20 episodes of season 6 are airing only in the summer and winter, and January 12 is when the show returns with the rest of the story.
With that being said, there is still a special entitled “Five Years Forward” airing on Tuesday night, and for those who have not heard too much about this particular installment just yet, we have some more insight into what it will contain … and you should watch.
According to TVLine, perhaps the most important thing that will be revealed is this: How the moms got out of the basement! It’s nice to see that the producers have a good sense of humor about something that we would consider to be for the most part one of the worst omissions ever on the show. It feels like there was something just cut for time here, and it would’ve been nice to see.
The report also mentions that you are going to see two new scenes from season 6B in the special, including learning more about the Liars’ careers after the time jump, and also some of their romantic partners! Also, there will be fashion information, a tour of the set, and a few other tidbits. While this is probably not must-watch viewing in the sense that you won’t miss anything important to your understanding of the show if you don’t watch, we’d still argue that it will make for a nice treat leading up to Thanksgiving.
