‘The Bastard Executioner’ finale: Talking season 2 hopes, run time, and a new sneak peek

Tuesday night is a huge hour for fans of “The Bastard Executioner” … or should we say hour and thirty-tree minutes. For those wondering if they should set their DVRs to catch this episode, this is precisely how long it will be per today’s listings.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, here’s another question to ponder: Is there going to be a season 2 renewal in the near future? This is something we’ve written about already in a few places, but we are starting to get very surprised that with the finale coming up in mere hours, FX has not tipped their hand just yet. If we had to guess, though, we’d say that there will be at least one more year of the show. This is a network that has shown great support to many of their properties in the past, and we believe that you do want to give your show a chance to see how it would fare after a full summer where potential new viewers can hear about and watch the show. The cable model is a little different that way.

This article may be a little bit of a hodgepodge, but the final thing we want to tell you about is the sneak peek below via Yahoo!, which features Love and Milus putting many of their cards on the table. It’s intriguing to see them in this place, admitting that they have known about Wilkin for a while without coming clean, and also admitting that despite their differences, do have a certain fondness for one another.

If there is a season 2, these are two character who could certainly demand more attention and screen time with one another.
