‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ top 11 rankings: How Spencer, Jeremy, and Kimmi are in good standing
We know that we are in the midst of a great “Survivor” season when one thing happens: Our contestant rankings change dramatically from one week to the next. It means that people are playing hard, alliances are shifting, and the edit is making it incredibly difficult to tell who the winner is. What’s fun about the list below is that we see six people below who have a realistic shot at winning the game, and there are other seasons where we can only say that about three or four at this point. The other five will need to get there with the right people, get lucky, or really have a miracle arrive where a million dollars falls in their lap.
As always with these rankings, we’re basing them on strategy, edit, screen time, challenge ability, and whether or not this is a person who could actually win over the jury in the end.
11. Joe Anglim (last week: 6) – We are now firmly in the stage of the game where everyone seems fine with Joe leaving the moment he loses an immunity challenge. Given the athletes and challenge performers that are left, we just don’t see this happening. If anyone else wins reward, they should take other people to strengthen themselves against him. We love Joe a lot as a person, but he’s such an obvious threat!
10. Abi-Maria Gomes (9) – Sure, Abi-Maria has probably a better chance of staying than the other two women in the alliance, but remember that your odds of winning the game are a component to our rankings! She has both little chance to win and is on the outside of the numbers.
9. Kelley Wentworth (1) – The one thing that Kelley has going for her is that she’s found an immunity idol before. Therefore, she can do it again. She’s also shown herself to be a pretty good player this time around; the only reason for her big drop is that we never realized just how on the outs she was with everyone until this past episode.
8. Kelly Wiglesworth (8) – Since Kelley Wentworth played the idol, we figure that may make her a pretty sizable target. As for Kelly Wiglesworth, she’s no target at all. She’s ranked here because we can envision no scenario other than maybe a final two with someone the jury hates where she wins the game.
7. Ciera Eastin (12) – Ciera is clearly on the outs, and could go home as early as Wednesday. Yet, she may at least have two shields: Joe potentially losing a challenge, and Wentworth being thought of as a little more of a threat in challenges.
6. Stephen Fishbach (11) – We’re getting closer now to the dominant alliance, but Stephen is somewhat on the fringe of that. If Joe has his way he could go home sooner rather than later; however, we feel like he had the second-best thing possible happen for him this past episode, given the fact that Andrew clearly had no problem writing his name down.
5. Keith Nale (7) – Keith has almost no chance of winning except being up against Wiglesworth, Abi, or someone who the jury is bitter against. Yet, there is zero reason to think that he is going home anytime soon. Nothing else to say about Keith this time around.
4. Tasha Fox (4) – Tasha lost one of her chief allies this past week, but there’s still no real reason to fear for her life in the game for a while. Why would someone take her out over someone like a Joe or a Jeremy, especially since you know already that Kass on the jury hates her? That’s one vote you know you can get against her in the end.
3. Kimmi Kappenberg (5) – By basically doing nothing and not being mentioned as one of the people running the show, Kimmi goes under the radar for a little while longer. We’re not seeing much at all of what she’s doing, yet at the same time, we haven’t seen anything bad. We’re not getting winner vibes, but she could make it to the end and get a vote or two.
2. Jeremy Collins (2) – The fact that Savage was somehow voted out over Jeremy was incredible. We’re not sure if it was something Savage did wrong or he did right, but it is still worth bringing up. Losing Andrew hurts him since it makes him more of a threat, but he does still have that immunity idol.
1. Spencer Bledsoe (3) -It’s amazing to think that the Young Lad, perpetually on the outs, is now in the best position possible. The truth is here that he’s got options. If he, Joe, and Stephen went with Wentworth / Ciera / Abi (not that we see that happening), it’s a new majority. Nobody’s targeting him, and we feel like the right move for Spencer is to let various groups snipe at each other for a few votes and then make a big move at nine or at seven.
