‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Meet Hercules! Also, ‘Hannibal’ alum in as Meg

Just in case you needed further evidence that “Once Upon a Time” is heading to their version of the Underworld for the upcoming second half of season 5, we now come to you bearing the following news.

Let’s begin with confirmation of some long-standing rumors: Jonathan Whitesell is playing the part of Hercules! This was confirmed by TVLine, and while many new that the actor was on the set, there were questions as to whether or not he was played the famed hero, or a younger version of the character. We can only imagine the protein shakes that go into making this particular part happen…

Also, the site reports that none other than “Hannibal’s” own Abigail Hobbs a.k.a. Kacey Rohl has been cast to play the part of Meg. Given that we are the unofficial spokesperson for all “Hannibal” actors getting as much work as humanly possible, we sign off on this and then some.

Finally, one final report courtesy of the site: Bailee Madison will be appearing in the second episode after the hiatus (see the spring return date here!) in the part of a young Snow White. She has not played this part in many years, so how about three cheers for a happy return? We do like the show tapping in this season to so many former stars, in between getting back Meghan Ory, Jamie Chung, David Anders, and also Victoria Smurfit, Barbara Hershey, and Robbie Kay coming up for the second half of the season.

The series is going to be off the air until November 29, but when it does return, let’s just say that it will be all about setting up the endgame for the Dark Swan.
