‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 6 reaction: Michael Cudlitz on Abraham, Sasha
Is it possible that we could see something happen between Abraham and Sasha on “The Walking Dead“? We definitely did not expect anything of the sort going into this season, but following the events of Sunday night’s new episode it is starting to look at least a little bit more like such a pairing could be possible.
As for where it is coming from, this is something that Michael Cudlitz explained more in an in-depth postmortem of the entire episode to TV Guide:
“Her pain, her loss, is something he identifies with greatly. It brings them closer because he feels connected to her. He fully understands what she is going through, and that in itself is something that pulls them together. Even if they never were to get together, that will pull them very, very close together, that acknowledgement that they both know what they’ve been through.”
Do we like the idea of these two characters together? There’s really no reason not to, since they have some of what we feel is necessary in order for a relationship to work out. They’ve got a reasonable amount of passion, they both know how to defend themselves, and they know and understand more than anyone what it is like to lose people. Let’s just hope that if something materializes here, it ends a whole lot better than what we ended up seeing with Sasha and Bob.
By the time the show airs on AMC next weekend, expect to see a return to Alexandria, where things may be (albeit briefly) in a little more of a state of peace.
