ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 7 video: A new Nathan Fillion – Stana Katic scene!
It feels like it’s been a long time since Castle and Beckett shared a scene together on “Castle,” and the reality here is that it has been. These two characters, thanks to the hiatus and Stana Katic’s absence from “Cool Boys,” have yet to share time together at any point in the month of November.
The sneak peek quickly changes that thanks to two simple words: Operation Booyah. Yes, we have no idea at all what that means, but the sneak peek below (first posted by TV Guide) gives you a little bit of insight. In here, Nathan Fillion’s character arrives at the precinct doing his best to try and take the advice of Ethan Slaughter from last week to not take “no” for an answer. He’s going to make his presence felt in a big way in Beckett’s life, and he is planning a surprise for their one-year wedding anniversary.
Will she be keen to accept it? We’re ultimately not sure, given how focused her mind is at the moment on trying to solve the LockSat mystery. She should at least consider it, just as she should also consider that nine times out of ten, having Castle on her team makes the two of them better. Occasionally he screws something up, but they find a way to make it right in the end.
Ultimately, we are starting to think that there could also be a moment coming this season (there really should be) where Beckett has to earn back some of the love and respect from Castle that he has put into her. So far, much of this has been very one-sided.

Richard Castle is missing the huge red shoes, the large round red nose to fit the Bozo status his character has desloved into. This makes it so much easier for him to absorb all the abuse Beckett so cold bloodedly heaps on him.

This is not going to change since it has been said, even though rumors that feel more true as this crap goes on, that Diva Nathan does not want to work with Stana, and since she took forever to sign back on, the showrunners wrote the episodes without her, making it the “Nathan, Molly and Toks Show.” They should have just left it with Season 7 with Hollander’s Woods and let us believe that the Dynamic Duo is still together – in life and in crime – Always! I have lost all respect for all of these people and will never watch anything they ever do again. Castle isnt the only one who needs to grow some balls, all of them (showrunners, leads) need to!

Fedup,I have also heard that Stana is the diva she needs off to go to fashion shows she would not comeback unless she had a producer title.Whomever is to blame they are professionals supposedly NOT it appears.

Whatever goes on off screen, these are professionals. the writers and show runners have done great stuff in the past. It is increasingly obvious that except for a few really sweet moments Stana and Nathan, Kate and Castle are no longer on the same page. At one time she loved and trusted him, now the exciting sexual magnetism is completely gone. Stana was once the most attractive female actress on TV, now an overly lipoed and botoxed aging ingenue, over dressed in inappropriate designer clothes. She can bearly read her dialog, and is totally expressionless. The final scene, a time out, is nothing more than a mechanical booty call. They don’t even end up in bed together. She brags about her prowess; was Castle not there during sex, checks briefly that Castle is not thinking about divorce and runs out without an I love you or goodbye. She already has new admirers (Vikram as a jealous lover) lined up. Castle needs to either speak up or move to the Hamptons with a new girl friend/ assistant and start writing again. P.S. Where is Beckett living? A Captain’s salary in New York doesn’t pay for a new apartment, furniture and a fancy wardrobe.

I think i figured it out. They’ve switched afew episodes around so far this season, but i think ABC forgot to show us one after 8 x 02 where Castle got his lobotomy.

Isn’t it time RC grows some balls and tells KB WTF, talk, tell me what’s going on or take a hike.

None of the current writers like writing Castle like an intelligent human being.

Has turned into a sad joke. A shadow of its former self. AH/TPW should be ashamed, and if they are married i feel very badly for their partners. They have a very warped view of true love.

Ugh. They just don’t get it. This is a HORRIBLE direction. Rick being a pathetic whipped puppy dog as his wife treats him like what comes out of the back end of a puppy is destroying his character. Every inch deeper they dig this hole, the more and more difficult it is going to be to believe any type of reconciliation. His character is pathetic now, and taking her back at this point is going to only further humiliate and emasculate him. I swear, if they basically have her confess to him, “I’m sorry, I was just trying to keep you safe because I love you so much!” and he just nods and accepts that line of BS… I will never be able to believe anything those characters ever do again, and I won’t be able to start watching the show again.. I’ll be done with season 8 entirely, and my DVD collection will simply stop at Season 7.

Here we go again Castle looking like the SAP the writers made him.Should have just killed him off and made it the Beckett show because that is what they are doing anyway. What a joke writers .

I agree with you, Charles. Still more of Castle running after her like he’s done something wrong when he hasn’t. When he finds out what’s going on (Which he should have been able to figure out the first day she was gone.) he should be pissed with the awful “reasoning” she used to leave him and think that it just proves Bracken was right about marriage never being enough for her.

Exactly, but everything Winters/Hawley have been saying publicly indicate that this is basically going to be the case.. “I’m sorry, I did it because I love you” “Oh, okay, I see why you did it.. I love you and forgive you, let’s go solve LockSat together now, just like the old days before we got married!”
Every interview they say ‘The fans will see why we did this, and they’ll agree it was a great idea, because it’s really great. Did we mention how great this idea is? Because it’s really great, and you’ll be happy they’re back together, and it will be great….” No, it’s horrible. This has been nothing but all kinds of unbelievable horrible, and there is no way these hacks are going to be able to write their way out of this cluster that they’ve created. Rick’s disappearance was horrible enough, but now it’s starting to look like genius story-telling compared to this garbage.

The only word they like more than great is fun. They once used the word undercurrent to describe how the separation affected things in the non-LockSat episodes. I think of it more as a pall that hangs over everything and makes the writers reach for things that make them do stupid things like the bit of Ryan shooting Esposito. These guys are veteran officers who know better than to take a shot when they don’t have a target in clear sight, especially when they are separated from their own partner.
