‘The Leftovers’ season 2, episode 7 spoilers: Updated details and a further look ahead

Leftovers -Remember that synopsis we shared previously for Sunday night’s new episode of “The Leftovers“? Well, since that time the folks over at HBO have decided to go ahead and pull off a little bit of switcheroo. The network has released a new synopsis for Sunday’s “A Most Powerful Adversary,” which you can see below:

“Nora (Carrie Coon) gives Kevin (Justin Theroux) and Jill (Margaret Qualley) news they weren’t expecting. Laurie (Amy Brenneman) makes a rash decision that affects the Garveys. Kevin deals with the fall-out of Nora’s news and explores his options re: tackling his Patti (Ann Dowd) problem head-on.”

Most of it is relatively similar, so we don’t honestly understand the decision behind giving a new one too much … not that we mind, given that we are always happy to get whatever news when it comes to the show that we possibly can. Also, it is nice to have it definitive now that we are going to see of Laurie, given just how long it has been since she turned up and also that she has not really had any direct interaction with Kevin so far this season.

To go along with this, HBO also released the synopsis for the November 22 episode entitled “International Assassin.” Check it out:

“In the wake of Kevin’s desperate decision to vanquish Patti, questions and answers emerge as the world adjusts to the repercussions of what comes next.”

Hey, at least Kevin is making an attempt. That’s a start, right?
