‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ episode 6 ratings: ‘Room 33’ hits another low
Before we get too far into this “American Horror Story” update, let’s start things off here with a scheduling update: Due to some last-minute changes, we’re going to have to push back our podcast until later this week.
Until then, let’s go ahead and bring to you the latest in show ratings. This past episode entitled “Room 33” (otherwise known now as the Crazy Baby episode after we have watched it) drew a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Is there some good news here? Sure. It remains the #1 scripted program on cable, but when you look at broadcast, it was not even the #1 program in its timeslot. “Chicago PD” managed to edge ahead of it ever so slightly thanks to airing after an elevated episode of “Law & Order: SVU.”
We wonder week in and week out whether or not the show will stop the bleeding, but we do think at this point, it’s getting close. We’d be shocked to see it go under a 1.0 at any point this season, mostly because the show does have a pretty devoted fan following.
One of the good things that these said fans can still celebrate regardless is that the show will be coming back for a sixth season next year. Therefore, there’s another chance to see if FX can come with a new premise that will be as appealing as “Hotel” was, that way they can at least start off with some strong ratings once again. Hopefully, they won’t see them decline anywhere near as much.
