‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 6 preview: How will Julian’s arrival change the game?

Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” is entitled “Best Served Cold,” and for us as a viewer, it certainly appears as though it could be a lot of fun to dive into and watch. As for whether or not many of the characters will feel that way after going through what they do … let’s just say that we are a little doubtful of that.

As executive producers Caroline Dries and Julie Plec explain in the video below, we’re going to see a story here that revolves around seeing a dinner party that Lily and the Heretics are throwing in the honor of their new guest Julian, who just so happens to be the great love from Lily’s past. Valerie of course remains traumatized by the fact that this character has re-entered the world, but there is very little she can do … and it is also next to impossible to get some of her fellow Heretics to listen to her warnings about who he truly is. They see him at face value more like how Lily does.

Even the Salvatore brothers are going to be conflicted as to how to deal with him. For Damon, we’re going to see him invested in making Lily fall completely head over heels for him before making her suffer. It’s more of an eye-for-an-eye approach, and something that he originally claimed he was not going to do when he was trying to turn over a new leaf a little ways back.

As for Stefan, he seems interested more in doing something about this right away. Who will win out? We’ll just have to wait and see…
