‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: What comes next after Rosalind reveal?

At the conclusion of Tuesday night’s new episode of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” we learned something about the character of Rosalind Price that was particularly surprising. Let’s just say that she is not just working for an organization with relatively simple intentions for Inhumans. Instead, she is working alongside Gideon Malick, a man who turns out to be working with Hydra.

Is Price really aware of her affiliations to Grant Ward’s organization? That is one of the questions that we feel you are meant to wonder at the moment, though for now we are at least aware that she is operating with secrets that she is keeping from Coulson, and in turn, this puts their suddenly-romantic relationship in an awkward position.

In previewing further what could be coming up for these characters to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Jed Whedon made it fairly clear that you are supposed to have some ambiguity when it comes to the Rosalind character right now:

“We know that Coulson is sleeping with the enemy — how much of an enemy she is and how far it’ll go before he starts to suspect something, those are still questions left to be answered. There’s no question that in the constant cat and mouse game they’ve been playing, right now he’s the one in the dark.”

The good news about Coulson is that he’s never one to stay in the dark for long. sooner or later, the character will learn a little bit of valuable information, and that will start to factor into where this story goes the rest of the season. He’s clearly at risk thanks to what Ward said of his intentions; luckily, he has many people still on his side.
