‘Dancing with the Stars 21’ results: Was Alexa PenaVega, Carlos PenaVega, Tamar Braxton eliminated?

dwtsGoing into Monday night’s “Dancing with the Stars” results, it was clear that there was some confusion. Given that Tamar Braxton was seriously ill to the point that rehearsal footage was used for scoring, we understand the argument that she be eliminated if Kim Zolciak was. However, rules are rules, and since Tamar was there to at least rehearse the routine, she had something that the judges could score. That at least made it possible in theory for her to move forward.

Tamar was safe with the vote tonight, and after Alek Skarlatos surprisingly was, as well, it was revealed that tonight we were losing one of the PenaVegas. It was Carlos versus Alexa in jeopardy. We did not anticipate this happening in the slightest, nor did we anticipate Alexa being the one to go home. We had assumed that having the “Spy Kids” fame would help her out in the voting. Alas, no.

In the end, we do feel like this competition is Bindi Irwin versus Nick Carter in the end, so it does not matter too much who goes home when the rest of the way … but this one is still sad since we really liked Alexa on this season. What we hope for her perhaps more than anything else is that this appearance potentially opens up some doors for her to get on a new show, or in some movies. It’s worked for so many other people in the past.

Now, let’s just hope that Tamar is doing well enough to come back next week in full swing after finishing the show. She is facing an uphill battle in many ways.
