‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Can Barry Allen bait Zoom into crossing over?

There has been one simple question to date at the heart of “The Flash” season 2, and it is a relatively simple one: Is there a way to stop Zoom? Jay Garrick crossed over from Earth-2 to help Barry Allen solve this mystery, and the new Harrison Wells is also bringing some advice of his own.

Ultimately, at the end of this past episode Barry chose to side more with Dr. Wells than Jay, and may the rather-bold decision that the time was now right in order to lure Zoom completely out from his world to Central City.

With that in mind, we think that the sneak peek below is mostly a trick. We don’t really think that this is Dr. Light that Barry is squaring off against, unless the show somehow convinced the Earth-2 thief to take part in their plan. Instead, it may be the Earth-1 version of Linda Park dressed up in the outfit. Cisco may have modified the suit to give her some sort of version of the character’s powers, which allows it to look as though she is beating The Flash into oblivion.

At some point in this episode, Zoom is going to turn up. The only mystery at the moment is just who is behind that mask. There are theories aplenty out there, including that the character may be an Earth-2 version of Barry Allen, his father Henry, a different version of Eobard, and many others. Regardless of who it is, the reality remains that this is someone who seems intent on destroying anyone with a Speed Force that could someday rival his own.
