‘Better Call Saul’ season 2 video: Jimmy McGill plays everything back
The second season of “Better Call Saul” is unfortunately still not premiering on AMC until early next year, but that is not stopping the network from releasing some new teaser promos to get you expected.
What we like about the one below is that it is not necessarily just a highlight reel of memorable moments from the first season. Instead, it shows a Jimmy McGill clearly in deep thought about what he wants from himself and the rest of his life. The “highlights” come more in the form of sound quotes from the first season that signify his journey. Early on in the season, Jimmy was someone who was trying to get his reputation as Slippin’ Jimmy buried in the ground; he wanted to be a new man, and prove both to his brother Jimmy and to himself that he could be something more.
However, the promo ends with a reminder that Jimmy may not be that interested in playing the morality card anymore. After all that transpired with him and Chuck, the need to do the right thing may not be there anymore. We do not necessarily think of this character as a malevolent guy, but he is thinking mostly with dollar signs in his eyes rather than a desire to do something for the good of the world.
Our guess is that the second season of “Better Call Saul” will air in February. Given that this is still a ways away, we hope to have some more news all about it before then.
