‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 still playing up mystery of Steven Yeun’s Glenn
We are now two episodes removed from the biggest shocker potentially in recent “Walking Dead” memory, and AMC is continuing to string us along. We’ll admit that for the Morgan episode, we had no hope of resolution when it comes to the story of Steven Yeun’s Glenn. That was always meant to be somewhat isolated, and a story meant to show us the evolution of this man from who we last saw in “Clear” several seasons ago.
As for Sunday night’s episode, it feels fair to say that we expected something more than what we received. There was no real reason for the show to continue to dangle the carrot in front of us when it comes to whether or not he is alive … especially in the way in which they are. Yeun has been absent from social media ever since his “death” on the show, and he has also been removed from the opening credits for two straight weeks.
The one thing we can say with confidence here is that Glenn isn’t done with the show one way or another. If he was, Yeun would be tweeting, there’d be postmortem interviews, and we would have heard from him on “Talking Dead” in some form. We think that the odds of him being actually dead are slim to none.
Let’s just hope that Sunday night’s new episode, which will be focused very much on Daryl, will give us some answers. Otherwise, we could see the show losing a whole lot of steam coming in the fall finale in a few weeks.
