‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 8 preview: A two-hour event for Jennifer Morrison, cast

Tonight, “Once Upon a Time” gave us a very focused story in “Nimue,” one that helped to give further insight into how exactly the Dark One came to be, and how Merlin has done everything that he can in order to stop them in their tracks. Unfortunately, nothing has worked given that Emma Swan has re-forged Excalibur together in Storybrooke, and is ready to unleash whatever her next move may be to stop the forces of good once and for all.

Next week, you’re going to get a double-dose of the show courtesy of a two-hour episode, one that will provide a lot of information regarding what Emma’s plan here ultimately is. The promo below hints at major revelations, with many of them coming courtesy of her relationship with Captain Hook.

Given that there are only a few episodes left of the first half of this season, expect these 2 hours to get you a whole lot closer to where we need to be for the story to wrap up. We anticipate a few surprises, and more than that insight into how Emma can be stopped.

The second part of this episode is one that has been hyped extensively as a big one for fans of Mulan and Red, as these two are going to return from a long absence to join Merida for some sort of mission. In the process, you’re going to learn a lot about what they have been up to.
