NBC’s ‘The Voice’ rankings: Jordan Smith, Shelby Brown current leaders of Adam Levine’s team
One quick disclaimer that we’ll throw in here is that there is a wild-card joining the ranks, but since we do not know who that is just yet, it’s hard to really forge an opinion on how they will stack up.
5. Amy Vachal – She’s not an original team member, and while we feel like she’s fantastic, typically artists in her position moving into the live shows have a tough time. The good news? There are exceptions (Josh Kaufman, Craig Wayne Boyd) that have won the whole thing.
4. Blaine Mitchell – Blaine’s in a similar position to Amy in that he didn’t win his way there, but he’s an artist genre-wise who does tend to fare well. We’re not ruling out America giving him a little bit of a bump.
3. Keith Semple – Old-school fans of the show love people with a rock edge, and Keith can provide that. He can tap into nostalgia, or do current songs. Ultimately, he’s the sort of total package that other people should fear.
2. Shelby Brown – She’s sensational in her own right, but we think that there is also a certain contingent of fans out there who’d find it hilarious if Adam finds a way to beat Blake Shelton with a country artist. What helps to her appeal is that she’s shown she can also do other things.
1. Jordan Smith – As great as everyone else is, we’re still picking the guy with the most YouTube hits as the current favorite. Jordan had a memorable Blind Audition, and he beat someone else in Viktor Kiraly (who we think is a contender to win) to make it to this point. We have no reason to think he isn’t a lock for the semifinals if the predicted voters turn up for him.
