TV Quick Hits: ‘Supergirl’ Thanksgiving scoop; MTV’s ‘Scream’ makes a change; ‘Quantico’ spoilers
A “Supergirl” Thanksgiving – It’s not too often that you get a Thanksgiving episode of a show as early into its run as “Supergirl” is, but that is precisely what we are getting come the November 23 episode entitled “Livewire.” Anyone who knows of that villain is going to realize almost right away why the show is using that name, since it is one of the more well-known DC Comics villains we are seeing this season.
Check out the synopsis below for further details.
“Kara’s Thanksgiving may be ruined when she suspects her foster mother, Dr. Danvers (Helen Slater), who is coming to town, disapproves of her new role as a superhero. Also, when an accident transforms a volatile CatCo employee into the villainous Livewire, she targets Cat and Supergirl, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Nov. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Brit Morgan guest stars as Leslie Willis/Livewire and Helen Slater guest stars as Dr. Eliza Danvers, Kara’s foster mother.”

“Scream” makes a change – When the show airs on MTV this coming summer, there will be a different crew of people running the ship behind the scenes. Specifically, Michael Gans and Richard Register will be taking over from Jill Blotevogal and Jamie Paglia, who ran the first season. While the ratings for season 1 were not through the roof, the show seemed to be reasonably popular with fans. At the end of the day, isn’t that really what matters more than anything else? This is one showrunner switch that superficially, we don’t quite understand.
“Quantico” and a big reveal – Are we going to learn who is really behind the terrorist attack anytime soon? Based on what executive producer Josh Safran told Entertainment Weekly, you “will not have to wait until the end of the season to learn out who the terrorist was … They may actually get an answer, much, much, much sooner than they think.”
What’s the caveat? There may be more questions that come as a result of all of this. As per usual, nothing in this world is all that cut-and-dry.
