‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 17 review: Jared, Carter, and Ben’s gallery of secrets
There are many things that we have learned through watching episodes of “Finding Carter” over the years. Bad things tend to happen to everyone often, multiple characters harbor dark secrets, and few people ever seem to learn that sometimes, there is something rather valuable in admitting the truth.
Basically, Carter did not want to do so on a pair of occasions Tuesday night until she was put into a position where she was forced to. First and foremost, Ben ratted out the secret in regards to her job to Elizabeth, who then tried to convince her that she had to quit thanks to the fact that legally, she’s not allowed to hold this said job. Carter resisted, and as a result of that, she stuck with it.
Now, let’s turn to secret #2: Her attempt to hide what Ben tried to do siphoning money away from the bar. Eventually she decided to sacrifice her brother after realizing that Jared was going to fire someone else for his act. He told her that he wouldn’t have Ben arrested, but he did go to him basically to strong-arm him into owing him a favor at some point down the line.
This just in: Jared’s not that great a guy. Then again, maybe you figured that already. He’s also over the fact that Carter is a minor and wants to be with her anyway.
The Taylor story was a difficult one to watch in this episode, mostly because we witnessed her become the victim of a drugging during a college tour. Gabe was there to stand up for her, but will this bonding between the two of them change her and Max? For now, it may be a little early to tell. Grade: B.
