‘Faking It’ season 3: Premiere date expectations, hopes for Rita Volk – Katie Stevens series

On Monday night, “Faking It” will come to an end for its second season, and we do imagine that for some people, that will be rather sad for so many reasons. For one, it’s going to be a very long wait until the show comes back to season 3.

What makes a return date rather hard to pinpoint is that MTV was rather unpredictable with what they decided to do for the second half of season 2. Our assumption was that it was going to premiere in the spring since the first half was in the fall of 2014, but they waited until August 31 to start it off. Therefore, there are two different possibilities for what they could decide to do from here.

1. The show could opt to premiere season 3 in the spring as many people expect this time. It’s pretty terrible to have to wait for almost a year in order to see ten half-hour episodes. Also, given the average age of the MTV viewer, you also run the risk that someone is going to bail on your show in that time.

2. You once again opt to air it in the late summer / early fall. We’re not sure why you would do that, given that with its current timeslot in mind, it feels like you have a wide array of possible openings on the schedule before then.

Clearly Rita Volk and Katie Stevens are going to return, and the same goes for the majority of the main cast. We imagine that in many ways, the show will remain the same mixture of humor, romance, and snark.
