‘The Walking Dead’ season 6: Does Steven Yeun’s opening-credits omission mean anything?
Is there anything long-term to make of this? Not really, given that this seemed to be mostly the result of AMC and the show’s producers pulling a little bit of trickery. For one, there have been actors who have been killed off on the show and still appeared in the opening credits the next week, almost as a tribute to the work they have done. Not including Glenn, at least for us, feels like an almost-deliberate attempt for the show to make you think that he is not a part of the cast anymore.
Also, it would be a surprising move for the show if Glenn is really dead, given that we do know that Yeun is still going to be making at least one more appearance on the show anyway in some shape or form.
What we are trying to get at here is rather simple: This is almost surely an example of a network really just trying to troll its fans a little bit, since there is almost no chance at all that Glenn is fully gone. While we’re not sure that we agree with the move from a logical point of view, signs point to the character (somehow) still being alive.
