‘Dancing with the Stars 21’ results preview: Should Alexa PenaVega – Alek Skarlatos fans worry?

There is yet another big results show coming to “Dancing with the Stars” Monday night, and it certainly feels like now is the right time to start wondering if we could be in for a shock. The simple answer to that is “yes.”

In our show rankings over the weekend, we said that there are two groupings of contestants at this point, with Andy Grammer, Tamar Braxton, Bindi Irwin, and Nick Carter gaining ground over Alexa and Carlos PenaVega and Alek Skarlatos. However, at the same exact time we could see almost anyone leaving Monday other than Bindi and Nick, who barring some great shocker, are probably both going to be good until the finale.

The person we’re the most worried for Monday night is Alexa, who has been “in jeopardy” multiple times. We should note that “jeopardy” does not always equal the bottom two, but if you’ve been there on more than one occasion we like to think that the show is trying to tell us something.

Also, we’re concerned about Alek strictly from a dance perspective. He’s one of the most likable people remaining, and maybe that will carry him. However, he’s probably the least natural of the remaining dancers. Because he is not a natural-born entertainer like the majority of the other contestants (even Bindi grew up around cameras), it takes more of him to hammer down the performance part of the routine than anyone else in the competition. He can handle the technique part okay.
