‘Homeland’ season 5, episode 5 preview: Can Carrie help an injured Quinn?
For the time being, the question that we are really carrying with us is a rather simple one: Is there anything else that Showtime needs to do in order to make this show better? Have they hit it out of the park enough? we do think that this is a rather entertaining series stuffed with twists and turns, and maybe the only thing that is missing so far is that epic set piece, or that element that everyone is talking about. We think that season 3 had that with “Tower of David,” even if much of the reason of the season before that was struggling with the particulars of what to do with the Nicholas Brody story.
At the moment, we’d put this season overall ahead of season 3 and 2 in terms of delivering surprises, being current, and also giving us a few twists that we don’t see coming. This is the part of the story that will really make the season or break it, and we hope personally that no matter what happens, the series will continue to persevere and put Carrie and Quinn in particular in compromising / fascinating places.
