‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 spoilers: First details on ‘Mommie Dearest’
Anytime that a show like “The Vampire Diaries” comes out with a title like “Mommie Dearest,” it makes sense for you to question almost immediately what it could be a reference to. Is the show planning to do something terrible to the Lily character, or is she going to gain even more power?
The funny thing here is that after reading the synopsis for this episode below, we’re really not sure one way or another just what is going to be happening to Annie Wersching’s character. All we can say for certain is that the arrival of Julian into Mystic Falls is going to have some extremely far-reaching implications:
“In order to get through to Lily (guest star Annie Wersching) about Julian’s (guest star Todd Lasance) manipulating ways, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) confront their mother with painful memories from their childhood. However, when Lily reveals a dark secret she’s been harboring for over 160 years, Stefan and Damon are left questioning everything they’ve ever known about their family. Determined to prove himself to Lily, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) comes face-to-face with Julian and challenges him to a duel, but an unexpected twist threatens to complicate things. Elsewhere, Matt (Zach Roerig) finds himself in the middle of a deepening mystery involving the residents of Mystic Falls, and Caroline’s (Candice King) world is turned upside down when Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) reveals some life-changing news to her.”
Yes, we’d say that the big reveal regarding Caroline and Valerie is probably the #1 thing right now that fans of her and Stefan should be worried about. After all, given how there has been almost nothing stable in their lives to date, why in the world would we think that this is going to change anytime soon?
