‘The Amazing Race 27’ episode 6 preview: Who is rapping in France?

Over the course of its run on CBS, “The Amazing Race” has taken on a variety of different goals. They’ve shown you the world, educated you about it, and also featured a ton of drama and high-octane action.

At this point, the series feels just as much concerned in making team members embarrassed as anything else. That’s why we’ve had such a run recently of people wearing crazy costumes, and also why we probably have below what seems to be a French rapping Detour. Justin & Diana are one of the teams taking it on, but it feels mostly like Justin is really happy to be there doing it while Diana is not. She has a hard time with the French, and during the fake “Amazing Race” in which he proposed, a task with some similarities was troublesome for her. We’re not sure why he went ahead and picked it anyway, but he seems to think that it can be done easily.

Our feeling is that if you do possess the ability to rap really cleanly and pronounce words, this could actually be done fairly quickly; however, it is also the sort of task that could doom you really easily. Not everyone has this particular set of skills (to quote Liam Neeson), and one of the reasons you may be hesitant to switch is not knowing how hard the other Detour is or potentially how far away it may be. We at least know that with this one, the teams appear to still be in the heart of the city.

From other promos that we’ve spotted, Friday’s episode will also feature an airplane task and also a free fall. Talk about variety!
