ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Are Olivia and Fitz about to get married?

Is there a way for Olivia Pope and Fitzgerald Grant to avoid having to testify, or a wide array of other problems that could come via a potential impeachment on “Scandal“? The sneak peek below offers up a tease on the subject, but we cannot imagine that it is a plan that Olivia will sign off on.

Basically, the plan goes like this: If she marries the President right away, there is a loophole that will keep them protected. However, marrying someone is clearly a big commitment, even more so when you are suddenly becoming the First Lady overnight. The thumbnail image below of Olivia says it is. At this point, we feel like she’d rather go through the drama of it all with the impeachment.

Then again, who knows? The thing about Olivia is that she does have a knack for being relatively unpredictable, and she does love Fitz. There’s just a difference between doing that and walking down the aisle to keep everyone happy.

There is always a chance that everyone comes up with a completely different plan that does not have the same complications involved in it. We have to assume that there is, anyway; Cyrus in particular is a very resourceful person, and now that Fitz has empowered him once more, the door is open for a wide array of different things to take place. Be sure to stay tuned, as we’ll have some further news on the subject of this episode in the near future.
