‘Bones’ / ‘Sleepy Hollow’ crossover spoilers: Do Abbie, Booth have a common acquaintance?

Who knew that Booth and Abbie would have so much in common on Thursday’s much-anticipated “Bones” and “Sleepy Hollow” crossover? As strange as it may be, the two both have connections to a certain August Corbin.

As the sneak peek below (first posted by TVLine) gives away, you are going to see the two have a little bit of conversation about Abbie’s former mentor. Apparently, Booth at some point in the past knew him, and has some information to pass along to Abbie about him. There’s a nice dynamic between these two characters, one that stems for the most part out of the fact that they both have a history with the FBI. Abbie has just gotten into the fold, while Booth has been there for some time. In many ways, he may be a little bit of a mentor figure for her … provided they have time to focus on such things.

Ultimately, there is a lot of work to be done on the show, and that is something that the next two episodes are going to be focused on more than anything else. We have a chance to see the two separate teams help one another with respective cases, while having plenty of fun at the same time.

Ultimately, it is pretty clear that the entire concept for this is somewhat ridiculous. Yet, at the same time, we’re not going to dispute that we are having a great time watching the separate casts play off one another. This entire crossover is meant to be fun more so than anything else.
