Is ‘Empire’ season 2, episode 6 new tonight on Fox?
It is around this point most Wednesday night that fans of “Empire” can start to become a little bit excited. There has been a new episode of the show every Wednesday in a row for over a month, and that has been a nice routine for everyone to dive into and enjoy.
So why is that routine breaking on Wednesday? It is for a reason that probably excites many big-time sports fans that are out there: A World Series broadcast. The game between the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals will probably deliver some huge ratings, and Fox has had a deal for years to cover these games. Will it be funny if Game 1 finishes below “Empire” in the ratings? Sure, but the reality is that there are still more than a dozen installments to air this season, so it’s not like they need to be in a hurry airing more of Lucious Lyon’s exploits.
The one part of this waiting process that we could see becoming hard for many fans out there is in the event that the World Series gets a Game 7. If that happens, both this week and next week will be without an “Empire” episode, and the entire schedule for Fox could get a little wonky. We’re sure that the network would probably just end up airing the fall finale a week later than usual in the event this episodes.
While you wait, have no fear: We’re going to be delivering as many updates as we can about the show and what could be coming up next.
