TV Quick Hits: ‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3 promotion; ‘Truth Be Told’ cut down; ‘Supergirl’ on ‘Late Show’
“Sleepy Hollow” season 3 adds another name – There are plans to extend Jenny’s current story on the Fox series for a little while longer.
Following a successful run recently, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Jessica Camacho has been promoted to regular for the remainder of season 3 as Sophie Foster, an artifact-hunter who has a mysterious history with the town and at least one important character from the past. She is one of many new characters this season, and the announcement comes days before the big crossover event with “Bones.”

“Truth Be Told” loses episodes – The truth is in, and NBC is already realizing that maybe it wasn’t so great of an idea to give this woeful sitcom 13 episodes. Sources confirm that the episode order has been cut to 10, which seems to be the new way of canceling a show these days. Rather than seeing many series outright pulled this fall, networks have been trying this as a way to show that they are seeing a show through, while not keeping themselves liable to air a long stretch of something that is not successful.
“Truth Be Told” has been performing pretty terribly so far on Friday nights, though in all honesty it hasn’t had much help from “Undateable” as a lead-in.
“The Late Show” hosts “Supergirl” – As further proof that this show is currently everywhere, Melissa Benoist made an appearance last night on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” In the video, you can see her discuss her character, the show, and feminism.
“Supergirl” is coming off of a pretty massive high, as the premiere episode debuted to the best numbers of any this fall when it comes to the key 18-49 demographic.
